How to choose an integration home
If you are looking for an integration home or sober house, ask these questions of every place you consider, including ours.
Questions to ask
- Who runs the home, and who is there day to day?
- Are the rules written down, and do they apply to everyone?
- What does it cost, and what is refundable? Is it all in writing before you move in?
- Can you take the medication you are prescribed? At AMIAM, medication taken as directed is allowed.
- Do you choose your own outpatient provider, or are you pushed toward one?
- What happens if someone slips?
- Is staying voluntary, and how much notice do you give if you leave?
Signs to slow down
Be careful with any home that promises results, pressures you to decide today, or will not put its fees in writing.
Our answers
We are happy to answer every one of these for AMIAM. Who runs the home? Dustin and Brian, the owners, manage it directly, in a family like environment. We have run sober houses in Southern California for more than fifteen years, and you can call us at 619-900-9969.
